Advice Taken

By overwhelming majority, I'm taking a break from writing and doing some recharging of my batteries. Namely, I'm reading. I just finished The Hunt by Allison Brennan, and I started Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

If you haven't read anything by Ms. Brennan, I urge you to pick up one of her books. She is an incredible storyteller. Her characters are believable, and for me, easily sympathetic. Her plot are engrossing. So far, her books have been such that I find it hard to put them down - even to eat or sleep.

Of Ender's Game, so far I'm finding it to be a very intelligently written and masterful work. I'll let you know more when I finish it - unless I ended up hating it, and then you probably won't hear a word about it from me. I don't think that's likely, but I've been burned before.

What's on your reading list right now? Anything good to recommend, or anything you're burning to read?

I read Ender's Game a few years ago. I'll be interested to know how you like it (or not :) )

I'm still working my way through the Count of Monte Christo. I usually read very fast, but this one is long to begin with, and the language is robust enough that I have to take things more slowly.

Everything will be set aside tomorrow though for the arrival of HP B7. That will be completed by Sunday night, if not sooner.

Great minds, Erica. We'll break together. I was just concerned about the commitment to the 100DC. But it's either this or burn myself out.

I'm about half through Ender's Game. I'm really enjoying it so far. I know my K loved it. I loved Count, but you're right. It's takes a while to read. We aren't picking up our copy of HP7 until Monday. *sigh* I pre-ordered from a local brick-n-mortar.

You'll feel much better after a break--a reading break is the best kind :)

Right now, I'm dying for HP7, like most people. I'm currently reading Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman(my upstairs book) and Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman(my downstairs book).

I was going to ask you about Ender's Game, but you're done, so oh well. I liked the ending of the story, the the epilogue got a bit strange, in my opinion.
