20K

Heh. I just rolled over 20,000 words on Redemption. Feels good to get back into the groove again. Of course, this means that in order to finish the first draft by the end of the year, I have to do about 27K per month for the next three months.

How're things progressing in your work? How are your year end goals looking?

Well done and you can reach your goals. I will have to revisit mine again.....just when I thoguht AR was ready for submission I am faced with another major rewrite which pushes the whole schedule back.......such is that aspiring writers life :-)

I'm still plugging away and I too hope to be finshed by the end of the year.

Well, 27K/month is less than 1000 words a day...which always sounds so easy until you remember how much life gets in the way.

I'm feeling pretty good about my goals. I may just reach them all...a true first!

Thanks, Liz. I read your blog, and I understand. Keep plugging away at it, and it'll fall into place. I know it will. =o)

Same goes for you Travis. Race you to the end. ;o) We can pester each other to keep at it until we get our respective work finished.

Kristin, I think if I can keep my butt in this chair, 1000 words a day shouldn't be a problem. It's just those days when I don't feel like sitting here that have me worried. I have no doubt you'll reach your goals, too. =o)

WTG!!

I'm currently struggling with the climax of my second draft. It's not quite working for me, so I'm mostly sitting here staring at the ceiling and mumbling to myself.

Occasionally I drag my butt out of the chair to do something housework-y like bathing the dog. Carrying 42 pounds of reluctant spaniel up the stairs is not fun!

Oh yeah, goals...I plan to have this second draft wrapped up by the end of the weekend. Whether that will happen...
