Flood of Ideas

You ever have one of those days where the new story ideas are coming at you like a flood? I'm drowning. Not that I don't love the great ideas I'm having, but they're interfering with my ability to write the book I'm supposed to be concentrating on right now.

And another thing. With all these ideas, I'd either better live until I'm 120 or learn how to write faster, or part of my legacy will be a file full of unwritten stories.

Ack!

Write them all down and get them out of your head, you can sort through 'em later! :-)

I've had spurts like that, but unfortunately most of them seem like duds once I go back and review later.

Yup, write them down! You can sort out the wheat from the chaff at your leisure, then!

I have found that my most creative ideas time almost always comes when I'm trying to do finish something else. It's a kind of distraction tactic inside my brain. I don't know why it does it to me.

Oh, I do write them all down. Which is why I have a Word file three pages long full of ideas. Got another one this morning that'll be killer once I write it.

I get most of my ideas when I'm trying to fall asleep or when I'm outside smoking. Any downtime from the rest of the world and my brain zooms.
