We've got three of those in common! Ray Bradbury, Agatha Christie, and Alexander Dumas. All terrific writers.
You need Orson Scott Card and Shana Abe on that list!
OSC would be in my top twenty, along with Asimov. I've never heard of Shana Abe, though. If she's (is that right?) as good as Card, I probably should pick up her books.
So many authors, so little space in the top ten. *sigh*
Piers Anthony! I don't hear many people mention him, but he turned the whole science fiction/fantasy genres on their head for me and I loved it.
Terry Brooks, Shannara... staples of my adolescence.
Agatha Christie. I admire her ability to create vivid, memorable characters, and to create a tight puzzle without getting complicated or wordy (my downfalls).
